Brief Secoisolariciresinol Diglucoside (SDG) is an active phytoestrogen, present in flax, sunflower, sesame and pumpkin seeds. LignaPureTM SDG is extracted from de-fatted flaxseed using a proprietary method of hydrolysis, isolation, purification and drying. This ready to use ingredient can easily be incorporated into a wide range of food and supplement products. Our standard SDG products are available as SDG 20%, SDG 30% and as an oil suspension. Naturally Extracted SDG can be isolated from de-fatted flaxseed by extraction of the lignan polymer precursor with a water/ethanol mixture, followed by ethanol removal and alkaline hydrolysis. Applications: Supplements (Soft gel, two-piece, tablets and chewables) Premixes Beverages and Nutraceutical Foods Sports Bars Key technologies: The technology of hydrolysis increases the utilization of the raw material and improves the purity of the final product. SDG is extracted from the degreasing product of the flaxseed meal, realizing the resource reusing. The technology of membrane separation, salt-free (the products contain lower sodium ions) and solvent-free (benefit to the environment) make our product more competitive. Spray-drying method. Advantages 100% water soluble. Good taste and odor. Free-flowing.
